PAL Annual Awards and Membership Meeting

You’re invited to our annual meeting and awards presentation in Lincoln’s historic Meadow Gold Building. We’ll begin the evening with light hors d’oeuvres and Empyrean brews catered by our hosts, the folks who own Lazlo’s Brewery & Grill.

Following our brief annual meeting, you’ll learn about the recent preservation efforts going on inside this Lincoln landmark. Then, Ed Zimmer will present our annual awards plus paint a picture of the building’s complete history. Finally, you will have the opportunity to take a quick tour of the main level.

Wyuka Cemetery tour

Local historian, Ed Zimmer, will host a walking tour in the Wyuka Cemetery. Explore the history and beauty that is Wyuka.

Our walk of approximately 90 minutes samples Lincoln's oldest cemetery, established in 1869.

Through this tour we can trace

  • Lincoln's connections to national events from the Civil War to recent conflicts;

  • our community's economy, education, and entertainment sectors;

  • the architecture of the cemetery and art of its monuments.

This event is brought to you by the Wyuka Historical Foundation.
