Former Lincoln Women's Club Building to be Demolished

The League of Municipalities, the current owner of the property, has asked the Historic Preservation Commission to remove the historic landmark designation, paving the way for the destruction.

The Commission was reluctant, but ultimately it was determined that saving the structure would be too costly. Bob Ripley testified that the building was in a state of disrepair even before the current owner purchased the property.
