State Board to consider Six Properties for National Register

On Friday, January 15, 2021, the Nebraska State Historic Preservation Board will meet to consider six properties for listing on the National Register of Historic Places. The properties under consideration are:

  • Clarksville Township Carnegie Library – Clarks, Nebraska

  • Historic Movie Theaters in Nebraska – Multiple Property Document

  • Zorn Theater – Benkelman, Nebraska

  • Cordelia Bennett Preston Memorial Library – Orleans, Nebraska

  • Soldiers and Sailors Home – Grand Island, Nebraska

  • Hotel Orleans – Orleans, Nebraska

Nomination certified by the Nebraska State Historic Preservation Board will be submitted by the state to the National Park Service for final review by the National Park Service. If approved, the properties will be listed in the National Register of Historic Places.

The meeting will be held virtually on Friday.
